Throwback: Salar de Uyuni
Panasonic LumixThrowback is a series from when I was travelling to the far corners of the world. All of the photographs are made with a compact camera, borrowed gear or later on with a cellphone. I was travelling light and wasn’t much into photography yet, but learned that the best camera in the world is the one you’ve got on you.
It’s always the most remote areas that offer the most amazing views. Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia is more than the famous salt flat. Like with any destination, it’s all about the long and winding road towards it. When I visited in 2010, there was little tourism and at times it really felt like you were on another planet.
